Parent Partnership

At Phoenix Nursery School, we strongly believe in working in partnership with parents and carers with the ultimate aim of providing the best education that we can for your child. If we have a common knowledge and understanding of your child, then we can work together to ensure that they make the best progress possible.

Each child has a “learning together” book and this is the place where we can share learning between home and school. Staff will take photos and capture what your child has been learning about in school and they will invite you to make a response about what your child has been learning at home. You can also share moments of learning with staff by putting things in this book. It is intended that the book goes between home and school so that both home and school can be partners in the learning process of the child.

We also organise family events throughout the year e.g at Diwali and trips out so that again we can share in the learning of your child.

The Department for Education has launched 'Hungry Little Minds', a new three year campaign to encourage parents/carers to engage in activities that support their child's early learning at home and which will help set them up for school and beyond.  Please click here to view the website.
